About Nathaniel:
My name is Nathaniel Norton, I am a singer/songwriter/instrumentalist. I live with my human and K9 family just south of Nashville along a fork of the Little Harpeth River amongst the hills of middle Tennessee. In the summer of 2022 with the help of my father, I began construction on a small homespun-studio where I now write and record all my work. With the help of producer/engineer/guitarist Evan Redwine and numerous other friends from the Nashville music community (including Bassist Michael Rinne, Drummer Fred Eltringham, Guitarist Sam Hunter, and multi-String magician Jonathan Yudkin) I began production on over 100 original compositions that I’ve been writing and re-writing over the past four-years, I guess you could say they range from Americana to Rock.
I’d like to consider myself a storyteller of sorts. The songs that I write tend to be about individual’s who are going through something traumatic, something dark that they are finding a way through. I’ve had a lot of serious health issues to deal with throughout my life, and with music and a pen I’ve always found a way to work through it, finding light in the darkness, sorta’ like with those old Blues Hollers and Spirituals… and if my songs are good enough, I would hope that they might inspire others.
Other than my Voice, The Acoustic and Electric Guitars have always been my main instruments, with a little bit of harmonica thrown in there, but recently I started knocking around on the piano and it’s really opened up a wider palette for the type of songs I want to write and sing.
My first Single “Cumberland Rain” was released via Orchard Distribution in the winter of 2025, and I’ve been getting many more set for completion in 2026-2027.
