Nathaniel Norton
“Cumberland Rain” is a ballad about heart-break, written by Tennessee-based singer-songwriter Nathaniel Norton. It was recorded at Norton’s home-grown studio along the Little Harpeth River just south of Nashville. It features Norton’s Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitars, Piano and Harmonica with the addition of Terrence Clark on Drums, Michael Rinne on Bass, David Dorn on Organ, Sam Hunter on Electric Guitar, Strings by Jonathan Yudkin, and background vocals by Ellie Turner. It was Recorded by Evan Redwine and Mixed by Ray Kennedy. It was released as part of a Single titled “Cumberland Rain” via Orchard Distribution on October 15th 2025, and is available on all major platforms including Spotify, Apple and YouTube. The single also features two additional songs; a cover of the traditional “House of the Rising Sun” and another Norton original, “Me & Mrs. Morphine”. Nathaniel Norton has begun the production of over sixty original compositions that he is set to begin the release of in 2026.
